In memory of Mom and her garden helper, Dad

My mother was a master gardener, a registered nurse and a computer programmer, and her gardens showed all three: care, patience and a plan. She approached every bed with an organized, technical eye, and she did some of her deepest thinking, and praying, with her hands in the soil.

My father was right alongside her, doing the heavy lifting: cutting back, pruning and hauling so her plans could take shape. A builder at heart and in his profession, he brought the same strength and tenacity to help Mom build her gardens. Over more than 60 years together, their gardens became one more thing they built side by side.

Though I didn’t spend much time alongside them in their gardens, and I wish now that I had, they remain foremost in my heart and thoughts as I build this app and work in my own gardens. GardenMaster AI is my way of sharing what they knew: that a beautiful garden takes a good plan and willing hands, one well-timed task at a time, season after season.
